  • Re: Toucan Materials

Yay! Gasp with delight - great instructions, but I am so keen to play I dont have time to read it all. And I found a wenatchee user guide pdf - I don't know how long that has been there but what a bonus - lights going on all over my brain-scape. Thanks

  • looking for guidance

I am fairly new to Rhino and am struggling somewhat; I drew the attached - it took ages and there are lots of things wrong with the model - surfaces that wont blend, little holes and gaps, edges that wont chamfer etc. The nose area of the frame in particular gave me a hard time. I am working from illustrator drawings. Any ideas where I can get ...

  • makehole command

Sometimes - not always and not predictably as far as I can tell, makehole extrudes the cutting curve to the cutting depth - in order to see the hole I have to explode the resulting polysurface and delete the extrusions. A particular instance; a plane made from a closed curve not on the project plane cut by a curve on the project plane. I'll ...

  • Re: delete layer

highlight a layer in the layers pallet and select delete layer from the pull down menu - cancel the call highlight a different layer and delete using the "-" button. Rhino wants to delete the previously selected layer rather than the current one. This behaviour persists until a subsequent call  is made from the pull down. Also, ...

  • delete layer

when I hit the "-" sign in the layers pallet the layer that gets deleted is not the selected or current layer. I don't know why it deletes whatever layer it does, but it can be a bit of a trap if you are not watching whats going on; a layer that is not visible may get deleted and I assume the command has not worked because the one I ...
