How to download the Mac Rhino distribution

Using your web browser, go to the Mac Rhino download page at http://download.mcneel.com/wenatchee/default.aspx

You can get to the download page by clicking on the Download the current version link in the Getting Started box in the upper right corner of every Mac Rhino web page.

This web page will appear:

Type in the email address you used when registering for Mac Rhino. Note: if you use a different email address than the email address you used when registering, your download request will be silently ignored.

Click the Next button. The following web page appears:

The browser will not start downloading a file at this point. Instead, an automated email is sent to you. Check your email in a few minutes for an email that looks like this:

Note: spam filters may think that the automated email that is sent to you is spam. If you do not receive the email in a short period of time, check your spam trap for the above email.

Click on the Download Wenatchee ... link that is in the email. This will take you to your web browser and the installation file will start downloading.

Note: your web browser may not indicate that it is started downloading a file.  In Safari, you can select Window > Downloads in the Safari menu to see what files are currently being downloaded.  Other web browsers have equivalent methods for displaying what is downloading.

If you are using Safari, the Mac Rhino installer will start running automatically when the download is complete. If you are using a different web browser, double-click the rh40mac_xxxx.dmg file when it is finished downloading, and this will mount and open a disk image. Double-click the Rhinoceros 4 Wenatchee Installer file that is inside the disk image to start the Mac Rhino installer.

Follow the directions in the installer to install Mac Rhino on your computer. Eject the disk image once the installation is completed to unmount the disk image.
